A commuter rail system called Tri-Rail links Miami International Airport (MIA) to Fort Lauderdale and West Palm Beach. Trains depart every 30 minutes or so.
Ticket prices vary depending on the distance travelled. The cost of a one-way ticket between MIA airport and Fort Lauderdale is approximately $4 per person.
A free shuttles runs from the train station in Fort Lauderdale to the Fort Lauderdale Airport (FLL).

The Tri-Rail Station in Miami is physically connected to the Miami Airport, which is quite convenient. It is the same station that used for the Miami Metro.
